I think a little anger over ice candy might not be a terrible distraction over anger about... everything else.

I offered to find a place for him and me to live. [his voice very bland] Do you know if he's still interested?

*Slides open the door to grab another ice candy* This is for as long as it takes you to find a proper nest for me. *Heading for the front door now*

[Watches as you appear to take an ice candy.]

[he pauses, turning to Basco] Unless you'd rather have an extra bed in here when he leaves. We did find one, and it's no trouble, I'm just not sure if we should encourage him to impose.

Hm? Well, it doesn't impose much on me since he keeps to himself. I just wasn't certain how long he planned to stay here so I merely asked as a precaution.

Perhaps just bring in a mattress instead of the whole bed for him, depending on how long you think it will take for you to get a new place to live. Although, I am admittedly curious as to what happened to your old place.
