Yes. Ankh and I just had a bit of a disagreement, is all. I'm not sure when he's coming back. Are you all right?

[closes his eyes briefly, before he turns towards the kitchen]

Would you like tea? I can make some.

Yes, please.

[goes to make some, trying to compose himself as he clinks around in the kitchen]

[ sits down quietly ]

[makes you tea and sits down, looking worried]

...are you all right?

I'm fine. Just annoyed.

Mmmm. [that makes him smile again, helplessly]

[ she's putting her elbows on the table & her chin in her hands with a sigh ]

I don't know what to do with Ankh.

Did you know about the cranes?

[gestures, leading you up from the table to go open ankh's closet, where a mess of tiny paper cranes has been shoved]

Eiji has been making them. [quietly] About fifty every day, and leaving them here. He should have around a thousand by the time the month is out.

[strooonger]

That's really sweet.

[cooopout]

...yeah, it is. [he just leans on the door a little, looking down at the cranes, before he shuts it again firmly]

He doesn't know what else to do, I think.

[strooonger]

I don't think any of us do.

[cooopout]

Well, I know I don't. [he only sounds a little bitter as he goes back to sit down and pick up his teacup again]

I don't either.

Ankh doesn't want to listen.

No, he certainly doesn't. I was surprised he didn't deck me, for some of it.
